CCLA School Consolidation
After surveying members from both the CCSU and TEMS campuses, the CCC board and CCLA administration met to discuss various campus scenarios. Based on the results of the survey, the needs of the families we serve, and overall administration and cost effectiveness, we concluded that a single campus structure would better meet the needs of our community. We value every member of our community and will continue to accommodate, to the degree possible, different families’ needs.
As a result, the board and administration has decided the following:
1. Starting the school year 2012-2013, we will have only one campus residing on Central Connecticut State University campus.
2. We will offer both CHL and CFL programs in our morning session, and all the cultural activities as we currently do. The language classes’ starting time will stay the same – 9am.
3. We will offer CFL program ONLY in the afternoon session, no After School Activity class. All classes will start at 1:30pm. The minimum student number of 10 and the maximum student number of 15 will be strictly enforced.
* Due to special circumstance, we may allow TEMS CHL classes to move over in afternoon session if they have more than 10 students sign up for the class.
4. There is a minor change with our CFL program Level 1 and up. The length of the classes is going to be 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours. The tuition for those classes will be the same as other 2 hour classes.
5. Tuition:
· All one hour classes: $190 per school year
· All two hour classes: $250 per school year
· All After School Activity classes: $90 per school year
6. Textbooks:
· The new Kindergarten and Preschool classes of CHL program will use only Zhong Wen textbook.
· The other grades will stay status pro quo.
· The school will NOT order textbooks for students. Parents are in charge of getting their textbooks.
